Dear Valued Customer,

The Florida Medicaid program announced that Electronic Visit Verification for Behavior Analysis Services will be suspended effective February 5, 2022. This announcement comes following the Agency’s November 10, 2021 provider alert which announced that the Agency will transition to the American Medical Association (AMA) Behavior Analysis Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code structure on July 1, 2022.
Beginning January 10, 2022, providers may bill through Netsmart or the Florida Medicaid Secure Web Portal during the transition period, until February 5, 2022.
Beginning February 5, 2022, behavior analysis (BA) providers will no longer utilize the Netsmart EVV system to verify Medicaid BA services and must begin billing via direct data entry in the Florida Medicaid Secure Web Portal.
If you have visits scheduled or unmatched visits, in the EVV system, then you may bill for those visits directly in the Florida Medicaid Secure Web Portal.
If you have denied claims in the Florida Medicaid system, you should correct the edits based on your remittance advice and bill Florida Medicaid directly via the Florida Medicaid Secure Web Portal.”

Our teams are working to create a phase out plan with little to no impact on your current operations. We will have more information and next steps by the end of the week. As we receive additional information and guidance from Florida Medicaid, we will be sure to update you. Please reach out to support with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Your AccuPoint Team
